Kota doria is a cotton summer fabric that is lightweight, sheer and soft to drape. The Ajrakh hand printing process makes the textile go through many layers of hand printing and washing, and the natural pigments involved has made this Kota Doria buttery soft like a mulmul, it will not be stiff to drape.
This is a natural fabric made using natural fibres and dyed with natural dyes only. It is slow, artisanal and handmade in every step of it’s production.
Please Note: This product is slow and handmade in entirety, and it will not have the perfect symmetry of machine made textiles. Irregularities in print/dye, slight imperfections on the body/border or colour wash effects are a natural part of hand-printed, hand-dyed textiles and are not considered a defect. This is a testament to the handmade process and evidence of genuine artisanal involvement in the making of this saree. There will always be a slight, inevitable variation in colours as perceived by your eyes on a screen versus how they appear to the eye in real life. We always find that our Ajrakhs look even more beautiful in real life!
