Description
A luscious pomegranate or anar print in a cool, delicate blue and mint color palette, interspersed with graceful vines, leaves and little birdies, this pure cotton textile yardage has been handblock printed with hand carved woodblocks in the traditional textile handprinting style of artisans from Rajasthan, India. It is dominantly pink with touches of chocolate brown. This fabric, replete with Persephone’s pomegranates, can be crafted into any visually delicious, lightweight, easygoing outfit you dream of with the help of Pinterest, your design mind and a tailor – have fun with it, from blouses to indian kurtas to dresses. PS: This particular type of cotton I’d recommend for stitched apparel, it has a beautiful crispness that does better as a well tailored, breezy outfit than a saree.
Kindly note that this yardage is fresh from the block printer’s table. There is a chance of mild colour run-off during the very first home wash, this is normal for handblock prints and nothing to worry about. I recommend only gentle, mild, low temperature home washes as you do with all your traditional handblock printed Indian textiles, or giving it for a dry clean if you’re feeling unsure. Like all handblock printed cottons, it will become even softer with age and use, while it is already soft to touch.
