For many years, I’ve worn a perfume with iced pomegranate and Kerala lime, and it has felt like an embodiment of the sensuality, maiden energy and delicious femininity of the Greek Goddess Persephone, along with the fresh, sweet citrus of an Indian summer afternoon. This edit was inspired by the mood of this beloved, long favourite fragrance – light, soft, breezy, pure cotton yardages in white, adorned with an abundance of pomegranates, vines and little birds of Spring. Persephone energy expressed in a traditional Indian handcrafted textile. Several metres of this already sold out in our inner circle community, I do hope my patrons here enjoy dreaming and creating beautiful apparel for themselves with these handblock printed textiles – the good old fashioned slow, sustainable, locally tailored way.
